At the age of 19, I left Abruzzo and like our great grandfathers in the early nineties, in search of better opportunities I emigrated abroad. Today I’m back, with the luggage of knowledge & skills I’ve gained abroad. With this luggage, determination and passion I’m starting this dream of promoting sustainable tourism in smaller provincial realities of the Abruzzo region and aiding the local economy of these beautiful hidden villages. With me, you not only will trace your Italian roots but will also experience the places, food, life & traditions your relatives where having. All by sharing together and being in good company of a local ‘friend’ showing you the beauties of this untouched and green region, Abruzzo. Like most of Italy, Abruzzo is famous for its wine, so no visit would be complete without sampling some of the local vino. Visit one the oldest wineries in the region for a wine-tasting session paired with a sampling of local olive oils, cheeses, salumi, and sausages. Follow the entire wine-making process, from weighing to pressing, and visit cellars where hundreds of thousands of bottles are stored for aging.

I'll take on kayak on the lake and hike our tracks until the peaks (not too difficult -;) inside the Park, of which I'm an official licensed Guide, telling lots of info about flora, fauna, history and legends of this unchanged Italy. I'll show you fantastic spots for your pictures and we'll meet together the locals. I'll host you for the night in one of the "Top 100's Italian villages", with an amazing lake view, in an old stone house fully renovated, with fireplace and a big terrace overlooking the sunset. This is a private wine tour during which you will visit small family-run wineries. You will meet the producers in person and taste 6 local wines. You will taste Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, Trebbiano, Pecorino, Cerasuolo and learn how they are made. Local artisan cheeses, salami and prosciutto will be served during the tastings. Your knowledgeable guide will tell you about history of wine-making in Abruzzo and give you some tips on where in the region to find the best wines. Please note: we visit small family wineries where producers make time in their busy schedule to meet you. Appointments are set when a tour booking is confirmed and cannot be changed.
