Tim is an amazing guide and we enjoyed every bit of the cruise along the southern ocean . The knowledge and hospitality of Tim’s team is what keeps this trip a notch above the rest.

Port Arthur Full-day Guided Tour with Harbour Cruise and Tasman National Park
Visiting in winter really brought home how much the prisoners would have suffered. It was hauntingly beautiful and I will never forget my day spent at Port Arthur. Our driver, Colin kept us well informed on the ride there and back and the bus was very comfortable. Can't recommend enough.

Port Arthur Full-day Guided Tour with Harbour Cruise and Tasman National Park
Port Arthur is definitely worth a visit. Our guide Mark was really knowledgeable and entertaining. A little longer in Richmond at the start of the day for some photos and a coffee would have been better still.

Tasman Island Cruises and Port Arthur Historic Site Day Tour from Hobart
It was a really good day, couldn’t fault the tour guides they had a happy outlook and answered any questions. The only reason I couldn’t give it five stars was I felt a bit rushed for time when we got to Port Arthur. The catering was very good and more than enough to eat.

The absolutely gorgeous day and side trip to Devils kitchen/Tasman Arch. Port Arthur site was fascinating. An extra hour to look around after walking tour would've been great though. A bit rushed at the end.

Grand Port Arthur with guided Isle of the Dead tour
Port Arthur is very interesting and the time available is enough for an almost complete tour. While getting to/from there, the bus memes several short stops at beautiful lookouts. The guide/driver is incredibly knowledgeable and makes the bus ride very pleasant

Port Arthur Tours

The stories of Port Arthur are told in different ways. Interactive displays tell the tragic story of the 12,500 convicts who served time from 1830 to 1877, while after-dark ghost tours explore the site’s haunted buildings. Optional guided tours visit the Isle of the Dead, the final resting place for many of the convicts, and the Point Puer boys’ prison, an experimental prison that housed around 3,000 young boys between 1834 and 1849.
