Wonderful tour

I have just returned from this tour and loved it. It is well organized and the guides are great. The attractions are well organized and timed so there is no rushing around. The lunches were good especially the one at Lambert Estate winery - that one was fabulous. Mick was our guide on the 2-day Kangaroo Island tour, He is a local from the island and had immense local knowledge which he happily shared with us along the way. He went over and beyond to ensure everyone had a nice time and had an abundance of patience especially with the certain guests who were constantly late back to the bus after a stop. Small gripe - when we stopped at the Sealink venue for lunch, one of the service ladies berated Mick rather strongly and loudly in front of all of the guests as some people had helped themselves to seconds of the meat at lunch when they were only allowed one portion of protein. This was unprofessional and rude considering it was really not his fault, she should have made that clear when she was inviting people to the self-service lunch. If I was to make a suggestion for improvement it would be to start Day 2 earlier, say 8am instead of 10am such that the arrival back in Adelaide is not so late. We didn't get back until after 10pm and the only option for dinner was fast food in the village where the ferry departed. I would strongly recommend this tour.

Dismissive customer service

This is a 5 day tour, where day 2/3/4 involves touring. I was told to contact smart car directly for airport transfers from the hotel to the airport on the last day myself, even if you do provide them with your flight details. The tours themselves were fine. They are run by another vendor that picks up many other tourists from different locations on each day; I am fine waiting for the transport. However, the pickup timings were not always stated in the itinerary. You would have to contact the operator. And I did not know which bus to look out for as it was a different company from the tour agency; you spent time staring very hard outside the hotel waiting and worrying if the bus has came and left. Best is if you approach the hotel reception directly as they will be able to provide you with more details. But not knowing which company or who is picking you up for your tours is stressful.
