Barossa Highlights
Peter the driver was amazing
He gave out do much information and took us to three wineries, side trios to see interesting facts and lunch at Kids Winery to name a few. It was fun and the other people were so friendly. Highly recommend this tour
A great day out in the Barossa

Not as Expected ...

The trip was average.
I was not familiar with any of the wines produced at the Wineries we visited.
The lunch was not great.
We had to share space with 2 other groups at one winery.
The Maggie Beer Farm visit was a huge disappointment. They were actually closed due to staff shortages but the Tour Company never books or confirms visits. They opened the door for us briefly to buy merchandise.
It was supposed to be the highlight of the tour for me. If I had been advised I would have cancelled and maybe gone another time.
Response from Host , May 2022
Hello Noeline
Thanks for your great review
1/ there is a 152 cellars in the barossa
You would not of heard of more than 4 of them .. I’m so happy we showed you some wineries that you did not know existed..
2/ really there was other people in the winery at the same ?? My god how bad is that ??
3/ Maggie’s a disappointment??
I agree how hard would it be to let us know 2 days in advance that on the Wednesday they would in visage a staff shortage and could send tour operators a text message so as we could cancel our future bookings with people that came on our tour to only see the pheasant farm ???
The answer would have been the same if we tried to book ?? “ oh sorry I think we will have staff shortages on Wednesday so we can’t take your booking “
4/ out of the twelve people on the bus you were the only one who didn’t like the food .. yes I rang them all to ask
I guess we can’t please everyone
I’m going to have to stop trying

Cimicky- outstanding to have Andrew (wine maker) talk through the process and wine tasting their range - the Blackmoor range is sublime
Maggie Beer / outstanding as y try I be expected
Chateau Dorrien a finishing delight- excellent taste testing very knowledgeable staff.
Sorry but lunch was a fairly miserable experience, given the quality that is available in the Barossa.
Sam the driver was delightful.
Overall less stops would provide a more memorable and meaningful experience.
Great Winery trip. Highly recommend.

It was my first trip to Adelaide and this full day tour was amazing. From barossa valley till chocolate house, each stop was worth it. Wine tasting was great too. Not forgetting the tour guide who kept up with all the info’s and entertainment

Memorable part: Meeting new people. The 4 wineries we stopped at were OK. first stop spent too long at so couldn’t visit many others. The lady was lovely though. The driver should have been more informative with time for when we should return to the van. The other wineries could not answer any questions about the wine! Best part: the lunch!
Response from Host , Mar 2022
Wow we offer 4-5 wineries and you got to 4 and had lunch?
The other wineries could not answer ANY Questions about the wine ??
This is honestly the worse written review I have ever had from a customer …
What were you doing in the winery that you spent too much time there? Drinking maybe? Making new friends maybe?
If we had got to six wineries you would have complained and said we rushed you ??
I guess your questions were just too difficult for the full time cellar door persons ? That is crap
And I guessed you asked the driver what time should we return to the bus ??
No that was just all to hard
No wonder people leave customer service jobs
Feel better now Karen ?
Driver was really annoying.

Driving through the seppelts winery area, shame we couldn’t have gone in there, the wineries we visited where very average. Visiting the coopers was the best bit (wine barrel makers)
Response from Host , Mar 2022
Where were the first nations people ?
Deirdre_O
, Mar 2022
small group (n12 people) on small bus. Great views and nice wine tasting stops. Guide generally gave good commentary and engaged the bus. HOWEVER, I was very disappointed to hear nothing of the dispossession of the first nations people in the Barossa.
In 2022 Australia this is a terrible oversight. Guides need training in this aspect of their tours.
Response from Host , Mar 2022
As Explained to you on the day !
And I’m offended that you again bring this up again ?
This is NOT an historical or indigenous tour?
And I do NOT have permission of the indigenous people or the knowledge to speak about them now or on the past !
There are indigenous tours available available in all states, I suggest you do your homework next time and choose these ones for the correct information you are seeking??
This is NOT a terrible oversight, although all are welcome on my tours vaccinated or unvaccinated

We perform checks on reviews
You can only submit a review or rating of an experience to Viator if you were the person who made the booking through Viator. Before publication, each review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information for each of the following criteria: who, what, how, and when. If the system detects something that contradicts our publication criteria, the review is not published. When the system detects a problem with a review, it may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site. In some cases, we will also send you an email asking you to validate your review before it is published. All you need to do is click on the link provided in the email. After publication, our team checks each review reported to it as not meeting our publication criteria. Tripadvisor reviews that appear on the Viator site are subject to the same checks and moderation processes as set out above. It is not necessary to have booked an experience through Viator (or Tripadvisor) to submit a review of an experience to the Tripadvisor site.

Sorting, ranking, and search results
Viator wants to make your searches as relevant as possible. That’s why we offer many ways to help you find the right experiences for you.
On some pages, you can select how to sort the results we display and also use filter options to see only those search results that meet your chosen preferences. You’ll see explanations of what those sort options mean when you select them.
You’ll see some experiences with a “Promoted” badge, which means that the operators of those experiences have agreed to pay Viator more to have their experience highlighted.
If you see an Experience Award Winner label, the award is based on average review ratings, share of bookings with a review, and number of bookings through Viator over a 12-month period.
The importance of any one factor over any other in a sort order varies, and the balance is constantly being reviewed and adjusted. We’re always updating our systems and testing new ways to refine and improve your results to make them as relevant as possible to meet your needs.
