Amsterdam Combo: Van Gogh Museum & 1-Hour Canal Cruise

Very good loved van gough museum. Very interesting and the canal boat was nice. Glad it had a roof as it started to rain

Could not make the trip due to virus restrictions, was unable to cancel 3 months ago... travel to the Netherlands is still restricted and we forfeited our tickets for yesterday’s admission...

Difficult to rate. We loved the Van Gogh Museum and that alone would be worth five stars! It's well organised with excellent guided options. Staff are helpful and well informed. It was incredible to see his work and listen to the letter exchanges between family members. Unfortunately I cannot say the same about the boat tour. The experience was totally ruined by the lame duck, sexist and racist jokes the tour guide on our boat made the entire duration of the trip. (The recorded info you could listen to on headphones, was informative.) Spend your money on the museum and see the beautiful sites on foot or by bike!

Make sure you get the headphones for the tour of the Van Gogh museum. There is even a one hour highlights tour. I thought we had to get to the canal tour at an exact time but it didn’t matter what time we got there In fact you can do other things on the way if you wanted. We took the tram to central station (the 2 or 12) which was right in front of the Van Gogh museum. You can buy a ticket right on the tram and for 8 euro u can even buy a day pass and we used it all day on and off. The canal tour was very nice and it’s good that it is all inside because it was freezing out. We waited until the next boat left so we could have a window seat. The line moves quickly and efficiently You can make these two excursions take as much time in between so don’t feel like you must run straight to the canal tours like we did!

The museum is worth the entrance. The problem is the Canal cruise is not quite near the Museum. When we got to the place we got into a very long line to take the cruise that was more than an hour., it was already dark when we jump into the cruise, it enclosed, you cant really take good picture. So, the canal cruise is not really worth it.

As described — entry to museum easy and canal ride longer than expected. We took canal cruise at night; not as many holiday lights as I would have expected but nice.

You do not waste your valuable time for purchasing tickets and waiting for the assigned time to enter.

The Van Gogh Museum is first-rate. Such an amazing collection! I should have researched the cruise. I didn't realize it was so far from the museum. As I had an evening appointment, I did not have time to travel to and from the cruise location. So, sadly, I forfeited that.

We were looking for something to do between a morning arrival in Amsterdam and the afternoon departure of our river cruise ship. This filled the time very nicely. The museum was interesting and had a good representation of his works. Our canal cruise was affected by the torrential rain, but the cruise line has no control over the weather. The cruise was well organized and presented and I'm sure we would have found it very enjoyable in good weather.

Really easy to book museum visit, well worth a look, tickets easily accessible on my phone. Canal tour very good although captain did twice bump the boat on the bridges !!! not sure the Amsterdam Council will be too pleased about that, otherwise a good all round experience.
