Departure Time

4:45 AM
The 36 red rock domes of Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) and the massive monolith of Uluru (Ayers Rock) are Australia’s best-known natural attractions. During your stay at Ayers Rock Resort in the Red Centre (not included), see both sights on two separate 5-hour tours. Choose to take both tours in one day or spread them over two days.

Following mid-afternoon pickup from your accommodation by air-conditioned 4WD, your guide leads your small group on a fascinating walking tour along the base of Uluru. Afterward, you are taken to a viewing spot away from the crowds to watch the sun set over this iconic landmark. Enjoy sparkling wine and light snacks before returning to Ayers Rock Resort.

The next morning, rise early to see Kata Tjuta at sunrise. As dawn breaks over the horizon, watch the rock domes dramatically change colors in the glow of the rising sun. After you’ve watched this astonishing light show, enjoy an outback picnic breakfast before walking through the impressive Walpa Gorge. Your guide then returns you to your Ayers Rock Resort hotel.

Please note: Each tour can be taken in the opposite order; if visiting Kata Tjuta first, be sure to stay overnight at Ayers Rock Resort the night before (accommodation is not included).

A cultural experience well worth the trip
Nick_P
, Feb 2020
Tours were both great but weather slightly disappointing as it was cloudy and very humid and, bizarrely for the desert, we even had a brief shower of rain! Sensibly, because of the extreme heat of the evening, our sunset tour was adapted to be less strenuous. The sunset and sunrise light was not as spectacular as it can be because of the conditions. All that said, the tour guides (Julia from the Italian Tyrol and Sebastian from Belgium) were both excellent and knowledgeable and we learned a lot about both the geology and the Anangu people, their history, culture and treatment by the early settlers. We learned there is far more to this unique place than comes from the photographs, not least because a lot cannot be photographed and has to be experienced.

Wonderful

Both sunset and sunrise tours were excellent. Ryan took the sunrise at Kata Tjuta. He was really knowledgeable and friendly, happy to take pics and assist in anyway. Gareth took the sunset tour and again was knowledgeable and friendly. The company run comfortable transport and both guides were capable drivers. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. The breakfast at sunrise was really tasty and the sparkling wine at sunset added to the occasion, all in all very good value for money.

The company organises small group visit to the main spots of the park. The tour is relaxed, accessible to everyone and the guide are well prepared and they can tell you many stories about local people. The food (and the wine) is delicious and everything is really romantic. Totally recommended.

Seit where excellent, they acknowledged us as a couple even after our motel stuffed up the pick up times. We were celebrating our 25th anniversary and could not speak highly eneogh about our tour guides for the Kata Tjuta sunrise tour 26th of April and then our Ayers Rock sunset on the 27th of April. They made our experience even more memorable than we could of imagined or have expected

The Sunset Uluru Tour with our guide Davide was excellent. Although Davide had only been working for this organization for about three months, he knew an incredible amount of details and Aborigine stories to tell us. It was a very private tour, as besides my husband and I, there was only one other lady from Adelaide. Highly enjoyable! The Sunrise Kata Tjuta Tour was also very good - but there were lots of people at the same spot.

Informative and pleasant guides, keen to impart their knowledge and happy to answer questions. The small size of the groups gave an almost personal feel to the two tours.
