Awesome Excursion

The only negative I can find was the extreme humidity and heat. Aside from that, it was a great two day excursion. Day #1 was spent doing the land portion and our bus driver, Adrian was amazing. He was informative, courteous, on time and had a great sense of humor. He made the excursion fun and was always ready to help out when needed. On Day#2 we did the water portion of the trip and that was equally great. I can’t begin to say how informed and helpful everyone was. There were too many names to list but every single one of those crew members were amazing. Tropic Wings is an amazing company who put together a very well organized two day excursion for everyone. There were on time at every step and had knowledgeable people at every turn to help guide and direct you along your journey. I highly recommend them!

Had a great time, but they need a better place to do the paperwork/instructions

We had a great time and I know that there needs to be some quiet place to do instructions for special tours, but having it on the lower floor where everyone is throwing up is awful. Felt great until I went downstairs for the Snubu stuff and had two people throw up in front of me and felt nauseous myself.. Husband had someone throw up over his shoulder and then we both struggled for the rest of the day. .Advice:: use a flash to take good pictures of fish and coral.

Did this trip with the family 6 year old included. The train ride into the forest was a bit long this is the only part of the trip that I could have done without. The rest of the day was great, got to take a picture with a koala, throw a boomerang not successfully, Gondola ride - this was spectacular, sit back and enjoy the views. Enjoyed getting off at the second stop and taking the small walk around the park guide - oh no, I forgot his name, was very informative, friendly and funny. Great Barrier Reef ---- WOW!! Something not to pass up. Although the seas were a bit rough getting out, it was all worth it. The views were amazing. They have prescription masks to rent on the boat which made my day - I was actually able to see everything below. HUGE shout out to Michelle and Cosmo. They were both wonderful guides and a favorite of the 6 year old. Cosmo would scoop her out of the water every time she came near the platform. And Wally, can't forget him, seeing a fish that size up close and personal is something to never forget.

This was a great tour and I would...

This was a great tour and I would highly recommend them. We were picked up from our hotel on time as stated in our booking and confirmation. We took the train which took us through the beautiful scenery and waterfalls to the top of Kuranda mountain. There we walked through Kuranda Village with its many unique shops and restaurants. Here we took a boat ride into the rain forest. Afterwards we saw a performance by the Aboriginal dancers and learned how to throw a boomerang..so cool! We then visited a wildlife sanctuary called Featherdale where we saw and took pictures of kangaroos, wallabies, koalas, Tasmanian Devils, penguins, birds etc. We then took the cable car down to the bottom of the mountain where we were picked up by our shuttle bus that took us back to our hotel. The second day we were again picked up from our hotel to the wharf to board a catamaran that took us out to the great barrier reef where we spent the day snorkeling and swimming. They also provided a semi-submarine to see the corals as well as a glass bottom boat. A delicious lunch including shrimp was provided with many snacks on the boat on our return back to the wharf. Diving instructions/expedition along with snorkeling safari was offered for an additional cost. The corals around the docking station were awesome and the tour company provided you with a wet suit, snorkeling gear, fins, life vest and swimming noodles if you wish. There was a lifeguard overseeing the swimmers at all times so that even the faint at heart like myself could take the plunge. Would definitely do this tour again....it was definitely worth it!
