An early start and a bit of travel was worth it to see some amazing and incredible parts of Nth Queensland. We had a fun and informative time on the croc cruise, enjoyed a gorgeous rainforest walk and refreshing swim in a beautiful tropical creek. Lunch at Cape Tribulation was nice, topped off with a brief stop for delicious and unique icecream. Our guide (Mark) was friendly, funny and knowledgeable and we would recommend this tour to anyone looking for a full day without too much stress

What a great day, the early start was worth it. Even being (almost) wet season and a slightly soggy day, we still managed to capture some amazing views along the way. The crocodile cruise was informative and fun, we had a gorgeous rainforest walk, and a swim in a tropical creek was heavenly. A nice lunch followed by a quick icecream stop topped it off beautifully. The small group format is a great one, and Mark was friendly, funny and very knowledgeable. All up, recommend this absolutely.

Tremendous excursion

Fin was a great guide and provided a wonderful experience. As we made our way to the Daintree, he filled us in on Australian history, the growth and decline of the sugar cane industry, the flora and fauna of the region, and lots of other Aussie fun facts. We cruised down the Daintree river spotting various birds and admiring the lush greenery. We hoped to spot some crocodiles but due to the king tide, the riverbanks were flooded and no crocs were to be found. It wasn't for lack of trying as our guide for this portion of the trip worked hard checking all the usual places in search of some crocodiles. Following the boat trip, we met back up with Fin for a ferry ride across the river and on to Cape Tribulation. On the way we saw a cassowary which was very cool. Lunch was terrific and the views at both Cape Trib and Bloomfield Track were spectacular. The walk through the rain forest was also very interesting. While at the swimming hole, Fin prepared some billy tea and provided samples of various local fruits. Nice, refreshing touch! Great tour which I heartily recommend.

Disappointing

Found this trip disappointing, not enough time to explore very rushed with long drives, didn’t feel I had see Cape Tribulation and the river cruise wasn’t much better, the guide didn’t seem to be able to steer the boat very well and his speech was mumbled so I couldn’t understand him, also amazed no one got hurt as he steered into trees and bushes

Hi there, we are disappointed to read about your day. We'll have a chat to the team who run the Daintree River Cruise as I am sure there was a reason why they were getting close to the banks - maybe to spot those cheeky crocs! It is a full-day tour to maximise the time out there to see all the sights which is what we advertise it to be. Thanks again for your feedback.

Wonderful!

We were picked up in front of our Airbnb, no problems. Driver/tour guide was terrific. Very knowledgeable. Not even 20 people in the van. Very nice and intimate. Everyone was very friendly. Tour guide explained different nuts, fruits, and trees in the rainforest. He was excellent at history. He talked quite a bit about the different types of birds and animals in the rainforest. Very educational? Thank you so much, it was wonderful.

What an experience!

The tour was well designed and superbly guided. Gavin, the tour guide, kept us well informed as well as entertained - not an easy thing to do with a diverse group of people. He was not only knowledgeable but also clearly passionate about his subject - the nature of the area and its critters - and that made the whole experience so much more enjoyable. We loved every minute! Thank you, Gavin!

Trip, Interrupted

This started out to be a wonderful trip. Our guide, Gavin, was very knowledgeable and chatty and told us all sorts of interesting stories as we headed up the road. The river cruise was great and we saw a huge crocodile, among other interesting things. Unfortunately, due to the recent storms, there was a mudslide on the road ahead to the rainforest so we were unable to proceed. Gavin was really apologetic and took us to the Mossman Gorge, where we had a nice walk and he told us about all the plants we saw. This was not on the schedule, and he didn’t have to do it, but he was trying to make up for the missing part of the trip, even though it was totally due to circumstances beyond his control. We didn’t get lunch, because that was supposed to be in the rainforest, but we did have a lovely platter of exotic fruits. I would highly recommend this trip and Gavin as a guide!
