Darryl our guide was fantastic! So knowledgeable about plant life, animals and the local history of the area. He was very engaging and we all had a great laugh too! Would recommend this tour for anyone young and old. 5 stars. Jeanenne and Stephen, Ireland.

Daintree Delight

We had a wonderful day in an on a small bus with 11 tourists on board - not enough to crowd out the places we visited. Highlights were a beautiful swim in the clear cold water of Mossman Gorge where I wished I had brought my goggles to have a look under the water. The Daintree rainforest is amazing, as is Cape Tribulation in its relatively untouched glory. We were well looked after with food and drink, plenty of bathroom breaks and a wonderful commentary which wasn't too invasive. Beautiful weather, no rain and not too hot, around 29deg.

Not worth the money

The day trip stated allow 12hrs (I think my family were back within 10hrs), no where near enough time at each stop to thoroughly enjoy the area. Constantly advised by guide that passengers had only 10, 15 minute at certain stops is not enough time to enjoy. The opportunity to swim was not experienced due to guide advising that guests only had 20mins, on my wife's own admissions that is not enough time to swim, enjoy and change clothes. I am a local and having paid a total of $960 for four persons I am extremely dissatisfied. It would appear its about making money by offering so much in one day to attract the tourists yet not providing a good service. Tourist pay then go home so money made. Ideally for $960 I should have hired a car for a week then taken trip at leisure but unfortunately some cannot take time off from work. Let's hope for some OT to pay for this trip.

Lots to Take In

This was a great tour! Our guide, Jean, was very knowledgeable and professional. Mossman Gorge was cool and I wish I had brought my swimwear for a dip (no crocks there). I liked the small group atmosphere as well. Lunch was fantastic too.

Request Carsten as your guide. Book this trip!

Carsten, our guide, is a 25 year native and had great knowledge to share. He had a great sense of humor and kept the group engaged. They trip was more driving then desired however the reality is if staying in Cairns you will need to drive to get to cape tribulations. A good amount of timed stops break up the driving. Be prepared to swim at Mossman Gorge as the water is refreshing. Trip was a great adventure.

Fun even on a rainy day

Carsten our tour guide was great! Mossman Gorge was beautiful and we enjoyed our hike through that trail. The weather was not cooperating so we were unable to swim in the gorge, which was a little sad for the kids. Lunch was wonderful and educational and we had the opportunity to try many new fruits, which was cool. We loved our river cruise, Dave was knowledgeable and is a true animal lover which is a good thing for the crocs and the bats. The views of Cape Tribulation were amazing and we were able to see a Cassowary walking along the road, which was exciting. The ice cream stop at the end was really good and I'm not even an ice cream girl.

This was a fabulous tour - a very busy day with lots of driving - but so enjoyable. We got to see so many things. Darryl was a great driver/tour guide. We really enjoyed that he was a local and had lots of background knowledge of the area.

Fantastic!

Our guide, Simon, led the seven of us on quite the adventure up into the Daintree Rainforest. He was very informative, fun and made it an exceptional day. We wish every tour was this good with small groups and unique looks at the beautiful rainforest. The food was great, timetable was manageable (long day, but it couldn’t be done any shorter), and huge bang for your buck in terms of the breadth of experiences. We would highly recommend!
