Hartley's Crocodile Adventures Wildlife Encounter Day Trip from Cairns

The driver going out to Hartley and Hartley itself I find it to be much more informative. Than Australia zoo and more attractions to look at

What a great place to spend a day. It is everything it advertises to be with lots of Australia animals. The shows are informative and the a animals look well cared for. Can easily spend a whole day here.

It is about a 50 minute drive from CBD of Cairns to get to Harley's. They have programs throughout the day which are interesting. You can get your picture taken with a koala and for 15 dollars you get to feed the fresh water crocodiles with a long bamboo pole and a piece of chicken attached by a string, two times. Hartley's has a good selection of Australian animals, you can also feed kangaroos as well. We had a great time and would recommend it to everyone who likes animals.

This tour was my last on my last day in Australia and I had two wishes: to see a crocodile and to hold a koala bear. My expectations were certainly surpassed! I travelled alone yet did not feel alone, from the pick up to all the shows, friendly staff and drop off, I had an amazing day and would recommend. Highlights: Feeding a crocodile Feeding a kangaroo out of my hands Experiencing a live crocodile show (all animals are very respected) Holding a koala Riding a boat and witnessing so many crocs was amazing Great for families, couples and solo

Excellent tour. Anna was quite informative about both this tour as well as other activities to be found in Cairns. Good guidance on the visit to the Crocodile farm made it easy to navigate and ensure I could hit all of the exhibits with the least difficulty.

We did have the option to return to Cairns at lunchtime but the place was so amazing we spent the whole day there. Seeing the crocs close up being fed from the boat was fantastic and hats off to the guy who at one of the talks gets into the same enclosure as the crocodile. I was scared for him. All in all a great place to visit, just don't forget to take mosquito repellant.

Great fun! : The guys that work at Hartley's are amazing and have a true love and understanding of the animals that they care for. The crocodile guy missed his calling in life. Great comedian and a fabulous entertainer. He was really funny. He had us in bouts of laughter! My 7 y.o son and I loved it! Thank you! :

We all enjoyed Hartley's! Anna, our driver was enthusiastic and engaging. She shared so much info about the Cairns area that I had wished we booked 2 more days there! Hartley's has terrific crocodile viewing opportunities.I was disappointed that we were seated on the inside seat on the boat. You really can't see much from that vantage point much less take pictures. But the boat driver did share a lot of info about crocodiles, their habits and Hartley's. I especially enjoyed seeing the cassowaries they have along with the other wildlife. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Great day trip, don't miss out. The Crocodile farmer presenter is exactly what you would imagine a Crocodile farmer to be. He was passionate about his business and a real character. During this trip you have the option to feed alligators and ride through the swamp in a boat with large crocs swimming up to the boat to get fed. Aside from the theme activities, they have lots of animals to see/pet/feed on the grounds. Easy to spend a day here.
