Informative and Fun!

Duane was an excellent and informative guide, who knew a lot about the area's history, geology, and biology. We saw bison, pronghorn, blue herons, an osprey, a bald eagle, and even herds of elk that Duane picked out from miles away. The highlight was seeing a doe mule deer and her newborn fawn. Overall, a great trip, lots of beautiful scenery and wildlife. Duane's stories and knowledge brought the place to life.

Searching for male moose and elk
Hilary_C

We were specifically looking for male moose or male elk on this tour. It is very difficult to find them (especially when you are looking) but our guide did her best. We were able to see some female elk, female moose, a bald eagle and some beautiful birds. Our guide was very knowledgeable and determined. We had a nice tour!

We really enjoyed this wildlife tour. Our guide was very flexible and great at spotting animals. He checked in on our comfort, brought additional binoculars for the group, and provided morning snacks. We also had some beautiful photo stops. We didn't see every animal we wanted to see, but of course they are unpredictable wild animals. We saw more than we would have on our own. No regrets!

Great tour

The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is that they didn't tell us till we were on the tour that it costs another $20.00 to get into the park. I wish that was in the description as it would have just been nice to know. Other then that it was great and our tour guide was wonderful. We saw so many animals and so many beautiful sites! I would book it!!

We received a call from the company after our tour to say we were to get a 100.00 credit for inconvenience on our tour. We were to receive a call on Friday August 9th to confirm the refund. We received no call and no credit. Please have the company contact us regarding the credit. Thank you, Cindy Hart

It was amazing! I saw more wildlife that I could have ever imagined. We did the afternoon/evening tour... saw all Bull moose and female moose as well as their babies, male/female elk, bison, pronghorn, coyotes, red foxes, a bear.. and I cannot count the many types of fowl. The guide was so smart and had a keen eye to make sure we did not miss anything. Recommend this one...Oh, the scenery was also awesome. Of note, I did this tour in late September.

My BFF and I decided to take a spur of the moment girls trip to Jackson Hole and found this tour while researching safari destinations. We booked a half day wildlife safari because we didn't have a ton of time while in town and wanted to maximize our opportunities of seeing as much wildlife as we could while there - and they totally delivered! We saw elk, pronghorn, many different raptors, three moose, a black bear and a herd of bison! Our guide, Jeffrey, was extremely knowledgeable about the area, the flora and fauna, and had an excellent eye for all animals. We learned SO much on our trip and we definitely want to go back and do a full day adventure including Yellowstone next time!On a personal note, we originally booked our tour for early Friday morning, but due to flight delays we didn't even arrive in JH until 1:30 AM - left a VM in the middle of the night to reschedule and the staff was SO accommodating when we called back the next morning. I highly recommend Jackson Hole Wildlife Safaris!!

Our wildlife safari tour was awesome. First, we called at 5:00 pm the night before and they were still able to accommodate us with a tour the next morning. We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel in Jackson Hole which was really nice. Our guide, Mike, was so informed and knew exactly where to find the wildlife. Within the first 15 minutes we seen a Mama Bear and her cubs which was so exciting. During the trip we also seen several Elk, Moose, Pronghorn Deer and Bison. It was also very helpful that he had binoculars and a telescope which provided us with an up close view of the wildlife. Mike also took use to some beautiful scenic spots where we got some great pictures. I highly recommend this trip it was totally worth it.

The scenery makes this tour, with hours of driving alongside the spectacular Grand Tetons and driving up to Jenny and Jackson Lakes. The wildlife was secondary for me. I didn't have high expectations because I went in the afternoon in summer and that was about right. But we saw a herd of bison up close and some pronghorn antelope. An eagle eye fellow tourist caught sight of some elk that we could pick out with the binoculars provided by the tour but we didn't find moose or bears this time out. Our guide, Brett, was great. Friendly, knowledgeable, and provided history of the region and the animals. The van was comfortable, air-conditioned and came with water, juice and snacks. I loved it and would do it again.

Took this tour with my partner and 95 year old father. Despite the rather inclement weather, we all enjoyed the tour. The guide Dwayne was knowledgeable perhaps the word and fact count in his commentary was a little TOO high! and very caring. Water and excellent snacks wish I could get those Grizzly Bars in Britain! were provided. Also provided binoculars and a spotting scope. He made sure that the windows of the tour vehicle were kept clean for viewing the wildlife, helped people in and out of the vehicle, and acted as technical advisor for photography! We saw moose, elk and bison in quantity. A bit disappointed not to see bears, but Dwayne certainly tried extremely hard to make this happen, staying out until dark. An informative and enjoyable tour in a wonderfully scenic area.

If I had known that Julia was going to be our tour guide, I would have booked the whole day! That is just how impressed our family was with this wonderful lady. Extremely knowledgeable, very social, punctual, factual and a sound safe driver. Understanding that nature is on its own clock, we knew that the trip could be hit or miss, but...lots of hits were had this day Pronged horn antelope, a moose family, mountain blue birds just to mention a few. Of course, it is hard to go wrong with the scenic views of the Grand Tetons! Thank you Jackson Hole Wildlife Safari's and the best of luck to Julia!
