Skocjan Caves, Lipica & Piran: Karst & Coast Small-Group Day Trip from Ljubljana

Primož was a fantastic tour guide friendly, knowledgeable and organised. It felt like we packed a lot of great attractions and some beautiful locations into one day. Primož was also very adaptable and let us have a say in where we wanted to go in between the main attractions. Overall we had a great day.

Really from the beginning to the very end we add fun. Our group was amazing and Tusi (our guide) was spectacular. Breathtaking time in Škocjan cave system, white horses at Lipica and ending with beautiful sea and seafood at Piran. Even the car ride was great since we were always taking and laughing

I really enjoyed this tour. Our leader, Inna, was wonderful: so full of positive energy, so wanting to help us and VERY knowledgeable about the area. The places we visited we breathtaking. The caves were unbelievable: I've never seen anything like that. The horses were beautiful (and we got lucky and they came over to us and let us pet them). And Piran was exquisite! Overall, it was a wonderful day. And Inna made it even more special and memorable. She is a fountain of knowledge about the area and clearly cares about the people on her tours! I feel extremely lucky to have had her for my guide. Thank you Inna! You are a wonderful guide!!!

Our tour guide, Tusi, was incredible. She was so friendly, knowledgable and went above and beyond to take care of us. We had great conversations and she brought the group together. As a solo traveler it was perfect. At the end of the tour she gave me a hug! The tour: We saw a lot, and while it did feel a bit rushed at times, we knew that in advance; all was as advertised. Tusi even worked her charm to get us into a cave tour on time instead of losing an hour in line! The cave was INCREDIBLE (I cried with amazement, I'm not ashamed to say), seeing the castle was nice albeit short, the stop for prosciutto and cheese with wine was good, as we all were a bit hungry after the cave. Piran was absolutely beautiful. We were there for 2 hours, and I was able to wander the streets, have a drink and go for a swim- although I would have enjoyed another 30-60 minutes. If you are desiring to spend time in Piran, try to get your group to vote to go straight there and skip the horses and the prosciutto place. Disclaimer: while the tour receives 5 stars, I would give Viator itself maybe 3 stars, since there is no way to communicate with the tour guide themselves, which was nerve-racking since the pick up ran very late, and I couldn't get any info. I was able to call Viator, they said they'd look into it, but no one called me back. Luckily the guide showed up a few minutes after and all is well.

Borut is a very pleasant, patient and knowledgeable man. We all enjoyed the itinerary he provided and his knowledge. Highly recommend him. Thank you Borut!

Sasha was a very informative and accommodating guide. The tasting platter of local produce (7euro per person)was delectable and great value and wine included!!! The horses were a treat to pat and feed The castle caves and stay in Piran was enjoyable.

We really enjoyed this trip. Our guide Nadia was great. It rained a bit but we still had fun and saw a lot.

Our tour guide Primoz was so kind and explained much Slovenian history and culture to us. The time duration was appropriate and the half day trip to Piran was an excellent experience getting to know more about some local places in Slovenia!

Joining this tour is a great way to encounter different experiences in Slovenia in a short time. Our guide Nadja is very informative and punctual. We got to learn more about Slovenian history, geography and culture from her. She would try within her means to meet everyone's request, whether it be visiting a nearby location that is not within the itinerary or answering queries.

We did the Slovenian Coast and Karst Region Day Trip from Ljubljana. First of all it has to be said that out guide, Sasha, was very pleasant and knowledgeable and did a great job so to her performance as such I could give 5 stars. However, the concept wasn´t quite what I expected. Because Predjama Castle was on the list, I assumed that we go inside instead of just looking at it from the distance. In general, I would definitely prefer to pay more and have more of an in depth approach to the excursion. Perhaps I didn´t do my research properly and the excursion corresponds to what was promised but still it raises some questions about the added value of the trip.
