Return Details

You may disembark at any of the available stops.
Select your tour option on booking, and hop aboard your vintage, red double-decker Routemaster bus in Victoria in central London.

Sit back and drink in the views of London’s famous sights as you trundle around the heart of the city. Pass top London attractions such as Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, and the Tower of London.

Then, leave your iconic bus at the Thames River, and set off on a short sightseeing cruise. Find a comfortable spot on your cruise boat, and admire London landmarks such as Tower Bridge, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, and the London Eye as you sail on this history-steeped river.

Next, rejoin your gleaming, retro Routemaster and drive to Buckingham Palace, the official London residence of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Stop outside to see the world-famous Changing of the Guard. Watch in delight as the Queen’s Foot Guards—dressed in red tunics and bearskin helmets—exchange duties with the new guard in time to military music.

If the guard change is not taking place, simply stop for photos of Buckingham Palace. Your trip concludes with a drop-off back in Victoria.

London Eye Flight Upgrade:
If you wish, upgrade to take a flight on the London Eye following your sightseeing trip. After Buckingham Palace, enjoy a drop-off at the Eye and use your prebooked ticket for fast, hassle-free entry.

Board your shared glass capsule and marvel at the 360-degree views of London as the Eye makes a single rotation. Either before or afterward, enjoy an included visit to the London Eye 4D Experience, an incredible journey through London brought alive by multi-sensory effects and other virtual perspectives.

Your London Eye trip ends when you either leave your capsule or the 4D Experience, whichever you do last.

You can also enjoy pre-booked tickets to the Tower of London, for a speedy entrance into this top London attraction.

Afternoon Stonehenge Visit Upgrade:
Why not take an afternoon trip to ancient, UNESCO-listed Stonehenge after your morning sightseeing tour? After Buckingham Palace, enjoy a drop-off at Victoria and board a comfortable, round-trip shuttle bus bound for Stonehenge.

Then, travel straight to this prehistoric stone circle on Salisbury Plain, and use your prebooked entrance ticket to enjoy a self-guided audio tour of the monument's perimeter and impressive visitor center.

Your Stonehenge round trip then ends with a drop-off at Victoria.

We had a great experience on this trip. Our tour guide was funny and informative, and this was a great way to see the city. People stopped to take pictures with our bus everywhere we went because you don't see a lot of vintage buses in London anymore. We got a little whiplash from looking back and forth at buildings, but I really enjoyed our tour guide's experience and knowledge. The cruise was late so we were late to Buckingham Palace, but that process takes a long time so we still saw a lot of it. And our guide knew right where to take us so we would have a good view and be away from the bulk of the crowds. I was disappointed half of our group bailed at Buckingham Palace and didn't wrap up the journey, as we sort of just ended instead of riding back anywhere since most everyone was gone. But that wasn't the tour's fault. I'm glad we picked this out of the many options, and I wouldn't have changed anything.

Excellent bus tour. The tour guide was also excellent and told us many stories throughout the tour. Thanks

The tour was informative and interesting. I did not realize that because I added the London Eye Option, I was left in the area and had to take a taxi to the hotel at the end of the excursion. I am 70 years old and mobility limited and can't do buses and trains or walk long distances. Additionally, the pick up location, Victoria Station directs were not as written. I was to use spot zero and there was non. I got the bus but it was spot 1 in back not the one where many busses were located. There was no signage or anyone to help. I was actually on the bus then the office called to ask where I was. It was quite confusing. Even though I'm 70, I can read and follow directions if they are accurate.

Bus tour bummer

We were very excited for this tour as a unique experience giving us an overview of London. Unfortunately there were too many people up top and we had to sit below where we couldn’t see much and without any speakers, we couldn’t hear the tour guide at all. Good news, not too much traffic, bad news, arrived at boat too early and had to wait 1.5 hours for boat. Boat ride was great with views and commentary. Since we opted for the London Eye experience, we broke off from the group and did not then get the last part of the bus tour so we didn’t get to see Buckingham Palace for the photo stop. We also had to find our own way back to Victoria Station. None of this was mentioned when deciding to add the London Eye which would have been helpful to know.

You get to see all the sites from a bus and a boat. The guide is sweet and shares all the information behind the buildings.

A good initial overview of London.

Nothing was particularly memorable. It was interesting and informative but the tour guide was often hard to hear above the noise of the traffic and the talking of some of the other tourists.

Rush Rush Wait…..

Guide was very knowledgeable about London and English history. However, he spoke too fast and tried to point out too much. Before you could truly appreciate one thing, he was pointing out three more things to look at - “Look left.’ “Look right.” “Look up.” “Look down.” It never stopped and everything became a big blur and important sights were missed. Additionally, after scheduling and paying for the tour, which was not cheap, I didn’t expect to have to wait in a 1-2 hour line for the London Eye. Due to several medical issues I cannot stand or walk for long periods and therefore had to miss that part of the excursion. Not a great experience.

Bus, boat AND the London Eye

Our guide, Pépé, was fun. We were stuck in traffic the whole time (not the guide’s fault), so the tour was less enjoyable. We didn’t see the sites I expected, again, likely because of traffic. The boat ride was nice and I highly recommend adding the London Eye… we had stunning views of the city!!!!

The group in the tour was small, so our tour guide was able to personally interact with everyone. He kept the participants engaged and made the experience very memorable.

It was a great way to see a lot of London, quickly. The guide was extremely knowledgeable, and entertaining. I would do it again!

Disappointing

Our tour guide and driver were great. The low rating is because on the day of our tour there was a site seeing race taking place that had the streets blocked off to all the major destinations we were suppose to see. The guide and driver were not aware of this race and did their best to show us other things in the city just not what we really were there for. It was very disappointing. In my opinion, the company should have canceled the tour for that day as we were unable to see ANY of the sites listed from the bus.

We had a short layover in London and wanted to see as much as we could. Our guide provided an entertaining and informative trip. We saw all the main sights along with the stories behind them. The river cruise and London Eye option gave us a view of the city from every way possible!

Good- but longer than expected.

Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable - however, for the London eye portion we had to wait in a long line with everyone else and the tour took much longer than the 3.5 hours because of this and we missed a dinner reservation!

Good views but slow

If you need a lot of assistance with travel plans then this could be for you. I enjoyed the views from the vintage bus but the 4 hours seemed like we wasted a lot of time. It would be much faster to book an Uber to Buckingham Palace and a bool a River Cruise on your own within half the time. There was a lot of waiting.

Really enjoyed all the parts of this trip. Guide Lisa and driver (Allen?sorry) we’re wonderful. Great driving nice and slow while excellent commentary with lots of info. The Thames River ride was so interesting and to see the end of changing of the guards at the horse parade was a treat. Weather was cool but sunny and clear which helped. Highly recommend.

Stonehenge was good, Windsor castle would have been good
Dawn_O
, Jun 2022
We were notified as we were boarding the bus that due to the Platinum Jubilee, we would not be touring Windsor castle... one of the things I really wanted to do. I was told by the tour guide that I should have been notified by Viator and Viator says I should have been notified by the tour company, but in the end..... no tour and no refund for the tickets I paid for to tour the castle. I wonder why Viator didn't rebook me to the appropriate tour before I arrived there than morning? Everyone else had been rebooked and notified of the change except me. The guide showed me the list of attendees and mine was the only one still booked in the old tour. but they both point at the other so they don't have to refund me anything. Guess I'll use a different tour company next time.

London by Bus & Boat
Michael_B
, Jun 2022
Great commentary by Allan during our bus tour. He had to improvise a bit due to the aftermath of the Queen’s Jubilee celebration. His British humor was on full display as he shared his extensive knowledge of the Greater London area. Most enjoyable. The boat ride down the River Thames was accentuated by the informative guide on the river.
