Solid tour. Highly suggested if this is your first time going to Hana. If your guide is knowledgeable, you'll get an understanding of the island to go with the views. Otherwise, you are just going to be driving to checkpoints in your rental. It is a long days trip with lost of winding turns and the tour includes breakfast, lunch and water. You may not stop at every point (which was fine to me) as the road is pretty busy with tourists in rental cars. Surfer Sue was my guide and she will give you a non-stop historical perspective of Maui.

Our Road to Hana tour with Ernie was wonderful!! There was one other very nice family in our small group, and Ernie was cool, kind, super knowledgeable, and professional. We're so glad we chose this tour! We had driven the road to Hana on our own before, but this time it was so much more relaxing, fun, and educational. The guides know so much more than brochures, and have great stories! Also, we changed hotels and regions on the island the day before the tour, but the company quite amenably found a transfer driver, Wayne, who was just as knowledgeable and kind as Ernie, to take us to meet up with our tour group the morning of the tour. We highly rate and recommend Temptation Tours through Viator!!

Our tour guide (Joe, I think) was great! He was knowledgeable about the island and its history, which made for some fun conversation as we drove between stops. He made sure to slow down at some beautiful photo spots so we could get the perfect shot. The tour was also pretty self-paced, which was nice. We were able to stay as long or briefly as we wanted at the various destinations along the road.
