Vatican City Private Tour: Vatican Museums Sistine Chapel and Vatican Basilica

Tour guide was very informative and friendly. Our 13 and 19 year olds were extremely mesmerized by all of the sites. The tapestries were an added bonus. You could spend an entire day and still not see everything. Plan on a minimum of 3 hours. Skip the line and private tour guide was the way to go!

We had a private family tour (2 parents and 2 grown kids) and Frances was educational and entertaining. We were wowed by his knowledge and passion for pointing out special facts you don’t get on a group tour. He was so considerate of our needs and made the visit to the Sistine Chapel even more exhilarating with his commentary. He even suggested and made time for us to mail postcards from the Vatican. Paying a little extra for a private tour was well worth it! I would do it again in a heartbeat!

Our guide did a tremendous job at teaching us all about the masterpieces in the collection while efficiently navigating us through the crowds. I would highly recommend the private tour!

I had passed the front of St. Peter's Basilica several times by foot and car as a tourist over the years, but never realized that Vatican City is indeed a small city-many times larger than just the Basilica. My guide brought this city to life as I learned about its history and beauty of the Basilica, Chapel, and Museum in relationship to the other buildings within the city.

Our private tour with Franz (?spelling)was fantastic. Vatican City is an incredible piece of history, art, and architecture that cannot be missed. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable regarding all aspects of the Vatican’s religious and political history , it’s architecture, and its beautiful array of art history. I would only wish we could have spent more time with our guide at the Vatican!

Our tour guide, Franz, was amazing. My wife has back issues so he took his time with the tour and went out of his way to find elevators instead of stairs where possible. Extremely knowledgeable which made the tour even that much more amazing. A must do excursion when in Rome!

it has been a big dream to visit the Vatican again, this time with a private tour guide to really learn about the history, the stories and the art. the attraction is fabulous this is my third visit and I felt the guide was in a hurry. she knew a pre-learnt story which she would take us through. if we asked for anything that was not on her list, she is did not know. when I stopped at the art - painting by Dali and more as my father is an artist, she barely waited and rushed as it was not her list I suppose. I knew more trivia about the Sistine chapel for my son than she. she kept saying to my 12 year old that he is bored and she would hurry, though he told me was not and me , my dad and my mom most interested in history and art. I told her , please do not hurry my young teen will learn patience and this tour is important for us. nope.she knew my dad had to walk slow so we hired a private guide, but my dad was always behind, she never waited so we were literally catching with her and indicating for her to wait.
