Heritage Site: Villa d'Este and Hadrian's Villa in Tivoli Tour from Rome

Benjamin was our remarkable tour guide to Hadrian's Villa & Villa d'Este, and was superb! He has a wealth of information, which he shares in such as way as to make things come alive again! The weather was perfect, photos excellent, and Benjamin's professionalism was outstanding.As a return visitor to Rome, I had long waited to visit Villa Adriano. I was not disappointed in the least! Highly recommended to make this a "must do" visit!

Tour guide Philip certainly was thorough and committed to giving the best tour. However, his time management skills need serious work. When we started the tour, he said we would have 2 hours at Villa d’Este to wander at our own pace. That time was cut down to less than an hour because he would not stop discussing the ceilings in the estate. He needs to allow those interested in those guests in the gardens to move through the estate and get on with visiting the gardens. Those interested in the historical aspects of the Villa can linger.

Our guide Fabio was fun, knowledgable and made our tour exciting. Both Hadrian's villa and Villa d'Este are a must. Incredible views, incredible history and incredible photo opportunities.

If you love fountains as well as quiet ruins to visit - this is your tour! The Neptune fountain at Villa D'Este is so spectacular! So many beautiful fountains located in a wonderful garden villa. Our tour guide did an excellent job of recreating what was once Hadrian's villa as well as back ground on this Roman emperor. Nice quiet visit to the ruins with lots of great information. Worth the trip - so happy we did this tour as it was a last minute addition to our itinerary!

The guide was brilliant. He had loads of personality and knew sooooo much about the sites we visited and delivered it with passion. Even though many of the materials in the Hadrian’s were recycled in the past, enough remains to give an accurate picture ofvit’s Past grandeur. As for the Villa d’este, the gardens are incredible and an amazing feat in engineering and splendid. These gardens are one of a kind and must be seen.

This was an amazing tour - Benjamin provided great commentary and information about Hadrian's Villa, which is a beautiful historical site. Next we went to Tivoli and toured Villa d'Este - after a short introductory tour, we were given about an hour to tour the beautiful fountains and gardens. It was relaxing and beautiful - highly recommend this tour!

What a wonderful tour guide, lots of information, learned a lot about Hadrian's Villa/life etc...

I hesitated booking at first, as this isn't one of the BIG attractions in Rome, but so glad I booked a tour! The greenery and open space in both Hadrian's Villa and Villa d'Este are a much needed break from built up Rome. The ruins at Hadrians' are amazing to see and imagine what it once was like. Villa d'Este is beyond beautiful and some of our best pictures and memories are from the fountains. We booked through Viator and I'd recommend them, though the pick up is a little confusing. Email them prior to confirm pick up and times. Book this trip, we told everyone we met at other tours in Rome about it.

Make the time when in Rome to get onto this tour, it is worth it. Our guide was well informed. English spoken

The sights were magnificent. Tour bus was comfortable but P.A system was not easy to hear. Our group's English speaking guide was not comfortable with his material, hesitant and too soft spoken for this role.
