We had an amazing time with Nikolai and Sergio. Nikolai was the guide and Sergio was our driver. Nikolai spent the entire day with us and took the time to explain the history of every attraction we were seeing. They were both sincere and warm people. They made our trip in Rome special. In addition, they took us to the most amazing restaurant to eat Osteria Dei Pontefice; the same restaurant he and Sergio take their own families too. We walked in and they were making home made Ravioli. It was the best food we ate in Rome. I highly recommend this tour, book this tour early to ensure you have a wonderful experience. Of special note, they even catered our trip a bit to our needs and wants.

We had just one day in Rome and this tour turned out to be one of the highlights of our vacation. Our guide Nicola provided all the history, stories and facts we could have ever wanted. Our driver Stefano provided safe and pleasant transportation and knew all the right side streets to allow us easy access to all the areas we wanted to visit, including a stop at one of the best Gelato shops in Rome on the way to our Hotel. Alisandra (sp) was our tour guide and did a wonderful job. We immediately established a good rapport with Ali. Her knowledge of the sites and their history and the fact we were able to go to the head of the lines at the Coliseum and the Vatican made the experience so much better. She even arranged a good Italian lunch at a local restaurant in the middle of the day. This was clearly one of the best tours we have arranged through Viator as was a tour of Barcelona we took a year earlier.

Only had one full day in Rome, so we opted for this personal tour. We were picked up at our hotel at 8 sharp by our driver and personal tour guide. Both the driver and guide were amazing. The driver and guide (Nicola) worked together to ensure we saw the most in the 8 hours. No lines, no waits and a very knowledgeable guide ensured a wonderful tour. We were dropped close to the sites and picked up at the other side. Very personal tour structured just for you. Yes, it is a bit expensive, but in our opinion, worth every penny. Nicola also arranged for a car to take us to the airport the next morning for $40e less than the hotel. Just do it....

We were in the city for just one day from our cruise ship. We really got to see everything and this would not have happened with out our great tour guide and driver!!!!! He even took us out for Gelato at the end of the day.

Laura was our guide and she was magnificent. She helped us plan a wonderful day full of surprises. She could not have been more accommodating and pleasant. We were able to see all of the sites we wanted to see and more. She made our time in Rome so special. I would highly recommend her and this tour to anyone visiting Rome.

We were torn on how to do Rome. We were only there for a few days and didn’t know whether to spread things out or try to knock it “all” out in a day. Well we opted for a private tour of the Coliseum, Vatican, Sistine Chapel and St. Paul’s Basilica. Well it was just simply amazing. 8+ hours with Patrizia was just incredible. Her knowledge was amazing and had pertinent information on all the sites. She even has a nice surprise for you prior to entry into the Vatican. I can’t recommend this enough. Really made the trip.

If you have limited time or would like a professional experience with a mix of education and culture, then take the 1 Day Rome Tour. It may seem a high price, but it was worth every cent even if I was staying longer in Rome. The value was apparent by having a highly educated and trained professional that was able to customize all aspects of your day and amount of learning mixed with culture and fun. I would suggest Alessandra as your tour guide. Her warm personality combined with years of experience will apparent from the beginning. She will be able to customize your day based on local knowledge of the attractions. If possible, request Gabriele as your driver. He was able to professionally maneuver the streets of Rome and always managed to be a few steps from where we ended an attraction. Combined together, they made for 8 of the best hours your can ask for in Rome. I would book them again if returning and do a different day trip. I would have never learned or been able to navigate Rome as efficiently as possible without them. Their knowledge of when and where to be at any time along with their relationship with the staff helped to not wait in lines and have true VIP experience. Highly recommend and reviewed the other reviews prior and completely agree with all and more. You won't be disappointed -

Easily, one of the best tours ever. I organized this trip for myself and seven friends. We had a few other tours on our vacation, which were all excellent but I think this one was everyone's favourite. We could have personalized it but we were happy to follow their recommended list of sights. Every single one of us kept saying how much we were enjoying it. Rome itself is just an incredible city - an ancient building or statue at every turn - but our guide, Alessandra, and two drivers, Sergio and Stefano, made it extra special. We could not recommend them highly enough. Alessandra was definitely a highlight for us. She was so knowledgeable and engaging, and her enthusiasm and excitement about her city and its history were infectious. She made each stop so interesting with background stories and illustrations for each part. She alternated between the cars as we were driving short distances to different places and when we didn't have her in our car, our driver would tell us about the places we were passing. They were all so professional, warm and friendly. They had our skip-the-line tickets all set up in advance, they had great recommendations for the tour and we just sat back, knowing that we were in expert hands. I don't have enough superlatives to do this tour and Alessandra justice.

Laura our tour guide and Nick our driver were both completely excellent!!! We visited many of the places in Rome BEFORE the crowds arrived as they planned the trip perfectly to ensure we missed the crowds.....when we got to the Trevi Fountain we were the only ones there....a few days later we went back to visit the Trevi Fountain on our own and it was packed with tourists....the Collesum and the Vatican parts of the tour were awesome too....we missed all the lines and learned soooo much from Laura as she is extremely knowledgeable! She was extremely personable and navigated us thru the crowds with prescision - she lead us thru the tour at a comfortable pace. They were also very accommodating with any and all requests that we had. 4 of us were on this private tour and we all would rate this tour a 10 star if we could.......
