A private guide is the best way to see Vatican

My family had an exceptionally capable private guide who allowed us to set our own pace, see what we wanted to view and guided us with charm and grace through the various museums, the Sistine and St Peter's. The crowds were large and most areas crowed but with a private guide we were able to hear her clearly and navigate around the largest groups.

Excellent tour but I recommend you do this only after you are well rested. We did it on our first day in Rome and it is hard to take in everything if you are jet-lagged! Guide excellent, knowledgeable, friendly. Definitely worth it to skip the line alone!

Amust do. Private was the only way to go with all the crowds. Took a star off because no one called us to let us know the vatican St peter's bascilica was closed that week every day until 2 so we did not get to go even though we paid big bucks for the tour. We would have rescheduled to a later time

Mauricio Morris our guide was lovely and very patient. I had booked this private tour as I was travelling with my 70 year old parents who had done Rome before but since we had a day to spare in Rome, thought it would be good to have a refresher! Mauricio was perfect for what we wanted. Really patient and went out of his way to provide us with as much explanation as possible and to show us as much as he could - both on and off the tourist map. He even guided us to a lovely restaurant for lunch. All in all a really good experience and I would recommend him to anyone who wants to visit Rome and do it comfortably.
