This activity will end right where it started. We'll pick you up where you're staying in Downtown Seattle including any hotel, Airbnb, hostels, and the port. If you are staying outside our legal downtown pick-up zone, we are happy to meet you at our default pick up location—The Sheraton Grand Hotel. We offer pick-up on Bainbridge Island or in Port Angeles upon request. We will call/text/email around noon the day prior to your tour to confirm your pick-up location and exact pick-up time. The park features snow-covered mountains, rain forests, and the majestic Pacific coastline. There are remote beaches, plus the country’s oldest forests and one of Washington’s most dramatic mountain ranges. The Olympic Peninsula is home to some of the greatest wilderness left in the United States, including sixteen species of plants and animals that evolved here—and nowhere else. Enjoy short, interpretive nature walks throughout the day. If there is enough snow for snowshoeing, the guide will bring all the necessary equipment.

Learn forest ecology and the geology of the stunning Olympic Mountains. Weather permitting, drive up to Hurricane Ridge for incredible mountain views and spot wildlife and waterfalls along the scenic routes. Visit the pristine waters of stunning Crescent Lake in the northern foothills of the Olympic Mountains. This lake was carved by glaciers, so it’s an ideal spot for those in search of natural beauty. On days when weather closes access to Hurricane Ridge, visit the sandy coastline of the Dungeness Wildlife Refuge or spend more time among the forests and waterfalls of the Elwha Valley.

At midday, a gourmet picnic is provided. Please see the Itinerary section for menu information.

What a great tour! Karen was the best tour guide ever. We saw a mama black bear and her 3 Cubs. Scenery was amazing. Mountains, lakes, rivers and rain forest. Food was wonderful and plentiful. Highlight of our trip to Seattle area.

The best part of the tour was our guide who was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and interesting. We were lucky with the weather so were able to do a beautiful hike to a waterfall, see a salmon leaping up the rapids and take in the gorgeous views from Hurricane Ridge. The van was comfortable, the food provided was delicious and I would highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting Seattle!

This was a great trip, and Justin had good energy/information. It covers a lot of ground, so you don't get a lot of time in each location, but it gives a great overview of the Park, stunning views up at Hurricane Ridge, a waterfall, picturesque lake, mossy old growth trees, easy walks, nice views of the City from the Ferry, good food to keep you going, and a smooth ride. Thanks Justin!

A Good Sample of Olympic National Park in a Day.
David_G
, Sep 2021
Our tour guide, Lindsay, did a superb job of letting us see samples of all that Olympic National Park has to offer in just one day. We saw crustaceans at Salt Creek just outside the park like sticky anemones, spiny sea urchins and thousands of mussels. We had lunch at beautiful Lake Crescent. We went high into the mountains to the Hurricane Ridge and caught a glimpse of Mount Olympus through the clouds. We visited never used World War II bunkers. And we took a short hike on Heart of the Forest Trail where Lindsay shared his knowledge of the trees that he loves.
