The spiritual Vortex tour...

The spiritual Vortex tour guide was very knowledgeable about the vortices and the surrounding land. I would have liked to visit the vortex by the Chapel. I enjoyed my time in Sedona on my tour. Viator on the other hand was not best. Viator gave the wrong meet-up time for the Vortex tour, Viator stated 3 pm and it was for 2 pm. I booked a hot air balloon ride and it was full and my reservation had to be canceled. I called the hot air balloon facility and they weren't sure why Viator allowed me to book the ride when it was already full.

When my husband asked me what I wanted for my birthday this year, and I knew we couldn't travel very far from home, I told him, "A vortex tour in Sedona." I had a great expense with my tour guide, Ron McLain. I didn't know what to expect and was over the top impressed! I learned so much about so many topics about the area, its history, plants, animals...… He's so knowledgable, and the spiritual perspective was just what I wanted. He talked for 3 hours straight and I'm processing all I learned. It was a great adventure.

Our guide was so knowledgeable because he has been in Sedona for 40+ years...so the wealth of his knowledge is well worth your time & money. Further, the personal tour really is personal as to how the various vortex show you what you need in addition to the animal & plant spirits & your own personal work. Further, as a "spiritual guide/practitioner/etc" there is no ego, no upselling for other tours/products, nor over stepping.

This tour was one of the things we were super excited about when visiting Sedona. I confirmed with our guide, Ron, that the tour would be 3 hours long and description indicated we would visit 2 or 3 vortex sites. Tour started out good and he explained a lot about the first vortex on the drive. While the sight was super cool and had great views, we were disappointed that we didn't go to the actual center of the vortex. He did do a few spiritual rituals but wasn't the main focus. The second vortex, he just drove us up to the airport and paused a couple minutes by the runway than proceeded back down. He offered to stop at the overlook for us to get out and take pictures but no one on the tour was interested. We didn't realize that it was really our last stop otherwise we would have gotten out. He drove towards Sedona, drove around a traffic circle all while talking about his life and experiences and a little bit about each of our birthdays and what spirit animal we were. Less than 2 hours after we started, we were dropped back at our car. Disappointed we had spent so much money and really only had about 30-40 mins of what the tour was marketed to be.

That timing was a mistake on my part although we did spend time discussing the vortexes and animal symbolism. Sedona as a spiritual place and how the native people dealt with the local areas was also covered . But when you return contact me and we can add to the experiences you had.

I was disappointed in this experience. It seemed more of a city tour than a spiritual experience. No quiet time was given for reflection at any spot. Also I do not appreciate being yelled at.

In calling you back from an unsafe area I may have raised my voice. I gave you a lot of information on the vortexes, the animal totems and the symbolism of the animals, birds, insects and reptiles. I always include the town itself because of its beauty and history. Had you asked about quiet time I may have been able to provide that as well. Sorry you didn't get more from the experience.

We were promised a vehicle that would seat our family of 14. Ron got a vehicle that could not seat all of us. So we had to split up and drive by ourselves. Also, he did not take us to some of the places that was promised to us like airport Mesa. Also he said he ran out of time and so had to skip walking the medicinal wheel. Our one main request was to visit Amitabha stupa. He had very little knowledge about that place. Overall, we were expecting a more professional tour by a well experienced guide. This one fell short.

I explained that we don't normally go to the Stupa with our tour. I went there because you asked for it. Also I explained the vehicle difficulty, That the vehicle I rented was not returned on Schedule so the big van was not available and you chose to take the 3 small children in your vehicle with an adult and i took 4 adults. 8 people total. Using our phones so that the driver could hear the information and I took the adults.If this was not satisfactory then I should have been told at the time. Not have me do the tour and then decide not to pay for the time and information. Because you chose to stay at the Stupa for a long time it diminished the time for the other sites. Since you also chose to tip me for the tour I assumed we had agreed the tour was satisfactory.

More information needs to be provided prior to booking. Met unmarked van in shopping parking lot and began experience awkwardly and from the moment we met our guide we felt extremely judged! It felt more like a personal agenda than a spiritual guide. We were taken to public areas and didn't really experience the vortexes. The reading of the animal spirit cards was truly meaningful!

The guide was knowledgeable but spent more time talking about the vegitation and scolding us for talking and asking questions than really explaining the vortex and the history of the land etc.

This the same tour I give to all my clients. There is so much information that we give on this 2 hour tour. If I don't unfold the information in an ordered way we miss some of the important connections. So if I interrupt a conversation it is to unfold the important connections between all the elements around us. Come again and we can orient the tour in a more satisfactory way and enjoy it at your own pace.
