Join up with your guide at the meeting location, and climb aboard your remork-moto, a motorized rickshaw and common form of Cambodian transportation. Weave your way through the winding streets and leave the tourist trail far behind as you arrive in a local street food district.

Feast your senses on the aromatic aromas of the area then disembark to discover streets thronged with stalls selling exotic fruits and sizzling snacks. Sample the vibrant purple dragon fruit and grimace, as you smell the mighty durian, a fruit with an unmistakable stench.

Gasp as you see the local delicacies of fried tarantulas and crickets and test your culinary courage when it comes to testing the specialty. Choose from a multitude of mouthwatering dishes, savoring the flavor of tender barbecued meat on skewers, soft duck eggs, Khmer fried chicken and green mango smothered in chili and salt.

Savor more local delicacies at a rustic restaurant then conclude your feast with sweet treats from a popular dessert stall. Try baked pudding and fruit concoctions to awaken your taste buds.

Digest your bounteous banquet and decide whether to return to your hotel in a comfortable vehicle or stay amid the vibrant atmosphere of Pub Street, a convenient location perfect for experiencing the colorful nightlife of the city.

Great Food, Great Tour

Lonn Thou was very knowledgeable and took me to many food stalls where we tried foods I would not normally purchase myself. Crickets, river snails with chile, frogs - all were wonderful. He was very attentive to my needs. I was totally stuffed almost before the dinner and couldn't have eaten another morsel. He still stopped and bought dessert to go for me. I would recommend this tour to those who are adventurous eaters.

We had a blast doing this tour in Siem Reap. It ended up being just my group which made it more intimate. We went all over the city and tried lots of different food. All the street food was great. Tried some unique items as well! We had an awesome tour guide as well.

Good variety of weird and normal foods

Kim is a former monk who will guide you along a great variety of foods. Some are weird and exotic, such as balut and insects. Other foods are very friendly to the Western palate. Great to sample.

Seriously Street Food

Loved the evening. We saw and had the opportunity to taste real street food as eaten by the Cambodian people. So spiders crickets scorpions frogs and more. Amongst this was shrimp and pork for the less adventurous. Fruits from the markets cut for us to try. Finishing with a restaurant meal to computed evening. The guide Mr Two was great, passionate, knowledgeable and fun.

An interesting snack!

Our fantastic guide, Bo, told us that Cambodians don’t consider food a meal unless it is served with rice and then took us on a gastronomic tour of finger food and snacks. There is little wasted from any animal that is served as food - we ate chicken intestine, heart, ‘parsons nose’ and liver, pig intestine and ear and, of course, crickets, mealy bugs and crispy frogs! We also enjoyed the beautiful in-season fruits. Finishing off with a main course at a local restaurant. A great evening out that is highly recommended. Bo was exceptionally knowledgeable, accommodating and entertaining.

We thoroughly enjoyed the street food evening tour with a group of four including the guide, Kim. The Khemer snacks varied from grilled fish and fresh fruits to fried crickets, scorpions and steamed snails. The dinner menu offered a variety of local Khemer dishes. We each picked a main dish and found the food to be scrumptious. Note - our tummies were fine the next day. Just take the usual precautions and bring wet wipes along and enjoy the food trail!

We were really looking forward to...

We were really looking forward to this tour as the final night of our mini Asia tour to celebrate my 50th birthday but unfortunately it was shockingly bad. Our tour guide Joseph if you do the tour keep your fingers crossed you dont get him had a very abrupt manner. It honestly felt like being on a school trip, he barked orders at us, barely gave us any facts about the city and instead spend about half an hour explaining how the locals buy their government owned properties. Two minutes on this subject would have sufficed. We were then taken to a Chines restaurant again the staff were rude and the place was soulless. Food and not good food was plonked down on the table with no explanation as to what it was. Our guide sat at a table by himself eating and didnt interact with anyone. The drinks were very overpriced. We then went on to the smoke and mirrors bar for the grand finale of a cocktail on the roof terrace only to find that there was a private function so we were literally dumped in a corner with not enough seats for all of us and no table. Quite frankly it was embarrassing and the singerpore sling can be purchased cheaper in any other bar or hotel in the city. Again our guide plonked himself away from the group and was more interested in his mobile phone. We ended up leaving early and getting a taxi back to our hotel, and when we told the guide we were leaving he just shrugged his shoulders and said the he was freelance and it was the companys problem not his. I dont like to leave a bad review and believe me Im not one to look for faults but this trip was absolutely awful and a total waste of money.

Thoroughly enjoyed this trip. The guide was hilarious. He took part in all the food tasting which encouraged us to do the same. The insects and other food except the fruit was cooked so give it a try.
