Please meet our Guide by the entrance of "Gray Line - IAMME IA!" office located behind the statue of Torquato Tasso, nearby the Bar Fauno, next to the Fattoria Terranova shop. We suggest to arrive at meeting point 10 minutes prior to the departure.

We enjoyed the tour guide, Carmela, but the tour was itself too short. After the drive and waiting for slow pokes, It took nearly 1.5 hours before we actually entered the park. The lines for interesting buildings were already long. The tour should start earlier.

The tour itself was fine, however, our group had to wait for a second bus so that others could join the group. This delayed the start of our tour by about 30 minutes. If you are looking for a small group tour I would not recommend this since there were almost 30 people in the group.

From the moment we arrived at our meeting point in Sorrento and checked in our trip went smoothly. JP was our local guide on our journeys to and from Sorrento. At Pompeii we were handed over to Gini (hopefully that’s right) who was attentive and engaging with the group he had. It was an extremely hot day but he made sure he stopped where there was shade, avoided long queues but without anyone missing anything. Without a guide we wouldn’t have learnt as much as we did. Would definitely recommend this tour to ensure you see one of the highlights of the area.

Our tour guide Carmela was great but the group was too large-24 people. By the time you got to see what the guide was showing you, she was already explaining the next site. Would definitely preferred this experience with a smaller group and would have felt less rushed and gotten more out of the experience.

Pompeii is a really neat place and this tour was nice and easy! I liked just doing half of the day because we have been doing lots of tours. You got to see highlights of Pompeii. But, our guide was right, you’d need 2 years worth to experience all of it!! It’s a great tour and we had a wonderful guide, Ornella!
