Disappointing too crowded

Unfortunately my experience from the begging was not impressive. We got there at our slotted time if 11:45am and due to the amount of people lining up to get in we didn’t get in until 12:30. Once inside it was a battle to walk due to the amount of people, prams etc. The kids had to hurry along because the were other kids wanting to see as well and although the adults pay nearly $50 to get in, you have to take a back seat because the place was overbooked. To see the sharks OMG! What a line up!!! I don’t care if school holidays or not, no need to overbook knowing the outcome. And reducing the experience you are paying for. It was a real shame.

I won’t be back

Over crowded, despite purchasing tickets for a designated time. Further, we still had to wait in the rain for 20 minutes to enter at our pre-paid time slot so they could take photos from f everyone who entered so they could sell them back to you at the end. To top it off we had to exit through the obligatory gift shop at the end. A very cheesy experience. This facility represents everything I hate about canned tourist experiences.

Surprising the kids with different adventures like this one if we were staying a little longer we would have gone to the zoo too.

Crowded and run down
Anita_B
, Jul 2022
It was far too busy. We were shuffled through the isle like cattle. There was no room to view the exhibits. The facility seemed a little run down and dirty - the tunnels smelled like sweat. We have been to many similar facilities around the world and had a far better experience.

Lack of information...

Lack of information boards, no kids activities at all!! Peppa Pig marketing all over the place is irrelevant, along with all the wrong merch and unicorns at the shop. Very disappointing in general

Very educational institution I believe the death rate would be high in the tanks seen several fish not moving an no movement from gills suggesting there time had expired.

Great to visit once if you have kids

A nice place to visit but with few let downs. In some areas it gets way too crowded and noisy (with background music). Many tanks had dirty glass which made the viewing difficult. Poor lighting and poor ventilation in some areas as well (especially around the tunnels). Information about the sea animals was patchy at best, relying on screens that show pretty basic details.

Memorable family fun

I haven't been to the aquarium for many years - so we were pleasantly surprised with some of the new displays and rooms. My young daughter was in awe of all the fish as she walked under the sea. Walking through the aquarium took me back to when I was a kid ogling at the tanks. It was a truly magical time.

Great experience

It was wonderful experience for all of us. I would like to go again in a bit less busy period as we weren’t able to have a penguin look through the boat ride. It was 30 minutes waiting for 2 minutes ride and children were panic as well.

Sea Life & Wild Life combination ticket review
Maha_Z
, Jan 2020
Bought the combination ticket for two attractions. It was not clear from their booking page that one of the attractions need to be done on the selected date (we thought it was an open ticket for both attractions). Booking aside, both the aquarium and the zoo had some positive aspects, but also things to consider. The aquarium had a good variety of sea creatures. The highlights were the penguins, the sharks, touching starfish and sea cucumbers and seeing the dugong. Unfortunately, the experience was marred by overly echoed hallways with sound effects and music so loud we could hardly hear each other speak. The toilettes visited half way through needed attention (overfilled bins, dirty floor and seat). The overall experience took about an hour with an unavoidable 15 minutes spent at the gift shop (which forces all outgoing traffic through it, hence those with kids end up stuck there for a while). The staff were nice. However, the aquarium puts patrons on the spot to have their photo taken upon entering making it difficult for some to decline (we kindly declined as we were already expecting this after navigating their website the day before). Paid prints are put on display at the exit. The zoo should really be advertised as a mini-indoors zoo. The variety for such a small space is good with encounters with the emus, koalas and a huge salt-water crocodile. The experience took 30 minutes including stopping to feed the emus. Overall the combination ticket increases the value of visiting these attractions, but we still found it overpriced. If you happen to be within walking distance from the area and have spare cash and time then it is worth the visit for kids perhaps. Otherwise, it is hard to justify the visit, particularly when considering the added cost of commuting and/or parking.

Good place for kids but bad service
Farhana_Z
, Aug 2019
It is a good place for children and adults both. Lovely variety and well maintained. I purchased the photos after the tour. I bought the online version. Soon after I paid I could see them and download them. I did download 1 picture. I was traveling so I tried downloading the others after a bit, but to my dismay the site doesn't load. For the next 48 hours it gave the same error msg. Very disappointing.
