Intimate evening on cattle ranch with Longhorns, stars, s’mores and stories

Having an intimate experience on a cattle ranch with a local John and the owner Norris made the experience fantastic! Watching the night stars unfold on top of a hilltop and seeing the Milky Way was beyond our expectations. You know a tour is more than just a tour when the experience is so intimate you forget you are on a tour and have made new friends.

Norris, John and James were such great company (and adventure guides) as we celebrated leaving year 2020 behind. This tour was truly memorable. What an experience! I surprised my family with this tour and they had a blast. If you love stargazing, visiting friendly longhorns, roasting s'mores and fun storytelling, you will love this tour!

Great but not covid friendly

The experience was great and really interesting to hear the history of Kanab and the old western set. He was quite knowledgeable about the area and movies filmed in the area. However there was no covid precautions being taken at all , he didn’t wear a mask the whole time and continuously coughed. We drove in a hummer out to the set and the whole ride we were extremely uncomfortable including the other party that was on the tour as well with the coughing, we thought we were being driven in an old army truck which we were okay with as it was open top. We are hoping there is not on set of symptoms. Unfortunately it was overcast and couldn’t really see the stars but you can’t help that.

Thank you for booking with us. We apologize if you did not feel like we were up to standards with COVID. All of our staff is required to wear a mask and if not feeling well to stay home. Clearly he did not follow protocol. John has asthma and didn't wear his mask as instructed. We have discussed this with him. We work hard to be COVID compliant. We do sanitize all vehicles before and after each use. We have hand sanitizer for use in the back seat pockets as well as the front seat drink holders. We apologize for the misunderstanding on the vehicle, the big military trucks that are open to the outdoors is always available and an option. Because it was very cold that night John chose to drive the hummer, but the military trucks can be requested. At the movie fort we have hand sanitizer and alcohol wipes available. We also purchase individual wrapped candy for the s'mores and small stacks, individually wrapped graham crackers for the s'mores to be safe. We are happy to hear that you found the history of Kanab and the movie history interesting and the guide knowledgable. Thanks again for your patronage and Happy New Year.

This was a fun experience. John was a great host, telling us stories about the town and movies that were made in Kanab. There were plenty of smores and the homemade marshmallows were great. There were a lot of laughs around the campfire. It felt like hanging out with old friends even though I didn't know anyone when I got there.

Our tour guide Cash was really cool and friendly. The tour was pretty interesting. Learned a lot about the history of Kanab. Lots of cute cows around too. The s’mores were excellent they even had some homemade marshmallows! Very good tour.

The guys were amazing and friendly. Home made cinnamon marshmallows were the best ever ! The Texas Longhorns were surreal. One of the best experiences for our family. A must do !
